How It Works

The PSOB Wellness Center is for Everyone who works at the PSOB. We Are Here To Encourage Your Efforts To Balance Work And Health.

The Wellness Center is a non-profit created and maintained by its public employee membership. The Center provides low-cost benefits and self-care options such as, but not limited to cardio equipment, free weights, rehabilitation equipment, yoga, personal training, and locker room facilities.

A FEW BASIC RULES APPLY:

• The Center is for members only. Non-members or family may not use the Center.

• With the exception of 9:00 - 10:30 AM, the Center is open to members whenever a member’s badge allows access to PSOB which is usually 6 AM - 10 PM.

• All equipment must be wiped down with disinfectant wipes after every use.

• There is a 20-minute limit on the use of a piece of equipment if other members are waiting to use it.

• Noise must be kept to a minimum. The Center is surrounded by offices.

• Footwear is required while in the Center. The only exception is during stationary stretching and yoga mat use.

• Information and announcements can be found on the bulletin boards in the hallway near the front entrance.

• Personal items not in use during workouts should be stowed. Wet items that can transmit disease should only be left out for as long as necessary. Day Use Lockers are available.

• Lost and found items should be placed in the boxes under the sinks in the locker rooms. If the item has significant value, please place it in the Lost and Found box mounted on the west wall of the Center or turn the item over to the ground floor Security desk.

• Exercise Groups are welcome to use the Center and will have priority over the floor space and music selection for scheduled periods of time. Perimeter lights are to remain on during groups to ensure safety for all individuals.

• Members may choose to adjust the fans for personal use, with the exception of when exercise groups are using the main floor space and may prefer to leave the fans off during a class (e.g., yoga).

• When adjusting room settings, members are requested to be considerate of others using the space. We are all in this together.
